Course Name: Business Benefits of GJXDM

Course Description: This course is an overview of the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) standard for non-programmers with data integration responsibilities within the criminal justice and law enforcement environment. This class covers the history of GJXDM, the use of GJXDM to lower integration costs, GJXDM training and mentoring, best practices for creating RFP, GJXDM training and mentoring and holding vendors responsible for GJXDM standards.

Audience: This course is designed for high-level decision makers within the criminal justice system. It is appropriate for managers, project managers, business analysis that are responsible for sharing criminal justice information. The course is designed for a police chief or IT director at a county-level prosecution, court or probation systems staff. This is not a programming course although samples of XML data will be shown to help understand GJXDM structures.

Length: 8 Classroom hours.

Cost: A single-day class is $2,000  including presentation handouts for 10 students.  Add $95 for each additional student above 10.  Customization work is performed at $150.00/hr. This price does not include lodging, transportation or classroom setup time.

Classroom setup: An ideal classroom should provide access to a web browser for each participant.  Students are encouraged to bring a flash drive to copy course materials.
