Dan McCreary and Associates is a technology strategy development consulting firm based in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. We specialize in helping firms align their business and technology strategies by effectively managing their metadata.  Over the last six years we have assisted many large organization use advanced metadata publishing techniques to achieve their Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Web Services, Business Intelligence and Semantic Web projects.

Dan McCreary and Associates was formed in the fall of 2000 by Dan McCreary in collaboration with several other technology and marketing professionals. Dan brought with him over 17 years in the technology field and a reputation as one of the most respected technology strategist in the area.

Dan McCreary is known locally as the founder of Integrity Solution. In 1997 Integrity Solutions was recognized by City Business as one of the fastest growing companies in Minnesota. Integrity Solutions was sold to Vance Opperman's Key Technologies in 1998 and is now part of the WAM!NET Professional Services division.

Dan's career has taken him through the fields of solid state physics, computer chip design, supercomputing, working with Steve Jobs and NeXT Computer, and founding his own consulting firm in 1992.  For a full work history resume click here.

Dan has a strong reputation for writing and presenting technology topics to a broad audience of executives and managers. His topics have ranged from software development technologies to web marketing strategies.

On the lighter side, Dan was also one of the founders of the Carleton College Ultimate Club in 1979.  This club team has now reached national status as one of the premiere Ultimate Teams in the world. His goal is to one day re-join the team as a full time coach or at least the water boy.  The picture on the home page is just after I finished the Square Lake Triathlon in September of 2001.

About the logo

Our logo is a directed graph with the "M" node (for metadata) pointing to the "D" node for actual data.  I believe that graphs are the best way to store metadata.
